Through Structure Comes Freedom

I heard something today that really resonated with me.
‘Through structure comes freedom.’
This is so powerful.
I have always had a love/hate relationship with structure. I can do it for a while, and then it would feel too restrictive.

I am a creative type, but I also love organization and planning. How can I make these two work together? How can I feel free but still reach my goals? This applies to health, diet, business, or anything really.

Which brings me to my point. Keto is something that you can structure. You can follow your macros impeccably, or you can do lazy keto; eat keto but not count your macros or be super strict. Maybe you mix it up; track Monday to Friday, but do lazy keto on the weekends. Perhaps you do intermittent fasting three days a week and regular keto the rest? Maybe you take a break and just watch the carbs on vacation and then come back to keto when you are home?

The point is, you are MOVING AHEAD!

Making keto your ‘lifestyle’ and not your ‘diet’ will consistently improve your health, and you will be moving ahead. I may not lose a ton of weight at once, but slowly, I am going down in numbers, which is reflected both on the scale and in measurements. For a year I have been going down, down, down and as of now, I have lost 48 pounds and a lot of inches.

I love the ‘freedom’ keto has afforded me... mentally, physically and for my health.

So what works for me?

Right now, it's OMAD, with a fatty coffee made with MCT oil (US | Canada) in the afternoon followed by a healthy keto meal in the evening. Because it's summer and we're spending more time at the lake, I'm being a little more physical than I am when we're at home, and because of that extra exercise, I'm enjoying some added benefits. But I'm not religiously tracking my macros, because I'm too busy enjoying the time with my family.

I would love to hear what's working for you! Stop by my Facebook group to tell me!
