We all live hectic lives. Between work and kids and date night and, well, life, it seems like I’m always running. I’m running out the door to a meeting or I’m trying to get into the gym to do a workout or I’m taking my eighth conference call for the day. Sometimes, healthy food prep just isn’t happening.
But when you’re eating clean on your keto diet, shortcuts are not viable options. There seems to be a shortage of quick keto meal options. I get it! When things are really busy and I need to have a quick meal, then I turn to smoothies.
Smoothies are a great meal option when I’m in a hurry. They can also feel like a treat if I’m craving something sweet. Plus, when the weather warms up, keto smoothies can help you chill out! Here are some of my favorite keto smoothie recipes.
Low Carb Cold Brew Protein Shake Smoothie – Holy yum! If you follow me on Instagram or are a member of my Intentionally Bare Facebook group, then you’ll know that coffee and I are besties. I can’t live without my fatty coffee. But when I’m in a rush, or in the mood for something cold, this cold brew smoothie hits the spot. I would throw in a scoop of my Intentionally Bare MCT powder (US | Canada) too!
Healthy Chocolate Peanut Butter Low Carb Smoothie – Peanut butter is a staple for most people who do keto. It’s a great way to add in some protein and fat, and most of the time you can find sugar free versions at your local market. This is a perfect smoothie for when you are in a rush, or when you need a sweet treat. You can sub the heavy whipping cream for almond or coconut milk if HWC doesn’t fit into your fat macros!
Keto Low Carb Green Smoothie Bowl Recipe with Spinach – It can be hard to get enough greens in your diet, especially in the winter. This is my go-to for when I’m doing IF and don’t have a lot of time for cooking. I can get in some healthy greens without spending a lot of time cooking!
Chocolate Fat Bomb Smoothie – Need to add a little fat in your day? Some of the members of my FB group are doing fatty smoothies using my MCT oil powder instead of fatty coffee. You still get an energy boost from the MCT oil, but without the caffeine! This is a great way to get some MCT into your diet!
Low Carb Coconut Blueberry Chia Smoothies – This one is great if you want to add some chia to your diet. Be aware that this recipe makes four smoothies!
Vanilla Keto Smoothie – Full of healthy fats, this vanilla keto smoothie is great for hot summer days!
