3 Ways to easily get Back on Track

It happens for one reason or another... a stressful time, a vacation that never ended, or maybe you’re still ‘off’ from when Covid started.  I can tell you from personal experience, it’s not easy to get back into the groove.  I think of the mental anguish I put myself through when I was ‘off’... it was so unnecessary and unkind.  Many times I felt unworthy of even being in our group.  I let myself down and I felt like I had let you all down.  I had to have a big talk with myself and in doing so I realized that I am not worth ‘less than’ just because I had veered off course 💗

Have you ever had feelings like this?  It’s hard to change that dialogue in your head.

Here are 3 things I did to change my mindset and get back on track!

🔷 Have a Talk

There is no external force more powerful than your inside voice.  What you tell yourself and what you think drives the bus.  Acknowledge the struggles you’ve had and forgive yourself for what has transpired 💗

🔷 Make a List

This was so powerful for me!  I took a sheet of paper and made 2 columns:  ‘What feels good/I love’ and ‘What doesn’t feel good/I do not love’.  A few examples I came up with…  What feels good:  fasting, being able to eat non-keto once a week.  What doesn’t feel good:  wheat, tracking macros every day.  Sit down and make your list.  List everything you can think of as this will help you in the next step.

🔷 Make a Plan

Now take what you wrote on your list and make a plan.  This is YOUR plan!  If you take your likes and dislikes into consideration, you are now making a sustainable lifestyle that you will be able to stick to.  Remember, consistency is more important than being strict all the time.  Being strict only works for a short time (that said, fitting in some stricter protocols are great… but we are talking about getting back on track.  The time for adding in stricter protocols is after you are back in a good groove).

Friendly Reminder:  Our Intentionally Bare Keto Support Group is not just a place you hang out when you’re rocking it.  It’s a safe haven for you ALL the time.  I hear so many people say they stopped hanging out in our group because they had gone off track and felt like it was inauthentic to still participate.  That could not be further from the truth 💗 Our community is there for you whether you are killing it or completely off track.  We are here to support you and raise you up.  Keep helping and supporting others with your knowledge, and at some point you’ll feel the inner calling to get back to where you left off 😊

What do you say to yourself when you get off track?  What strategies do you use to get back on? 👇
